Dr. J is the reason I became a basketball fan, after his retirement, Michael Jordan is the reason I continued. Two of the GREATEST players EVER. I’m searching for a reason to continue, can’t find one. Lots of love and respect to Dr. J and MJ your skills, sportsmanship and class lives forever. Thanks for the wonderful years of entertainment!!!
I completely agree with you. There is no personality in basketball today that can rival the great ones of the past. It’s probably the commercialization of basketball and the exploitation of young high school talent that has caused some of this. The big stars like Kobe, Lebron, and Anthony don’t seem to have the personality that MJ did. Wade and a few others are examples of great role models, but nothing close either.
