The best Ultimate Frisbee websites project

As Ultimate Frisbee continues to develop as a serious sport, more expertise and knowledge is collected at the top levels. Top college and club teams develop new strategies and training techniques which help them gain an edge over the competition. This evolution of Ultimate keeps the sport alive and will hopefully propel it to the next level of Olympic recognized sport.

As great as these developments are, the average weekend warrior and the Ultimate newbies derive little benefit from what is happening at the top. What they need are good resources and knowledge databases from which to gather new information necessary for further improvements in their game. Besides individual players, club and pickup teams also need access to effective strategies and drills in order to bring their game up to the next level. This is the one area of Ultimate Frisbee that needs to pick up the slack.

There are some good resources available on the internet for Ultimate Frisbee, but the organization is poor. What I am attempting to do here is to collect the best Ultimate Frisbee resources from around the net into one place for easy reference. Think of it as the internet Ultimate Frisbee library. Here you will find the best resources, products, videos, and blogs available to everyone, for free.

However, since I am only one person, there is only so much of the web I can search and categorize. Therefore I ask for the help of everyone to contribute whatever knowledge you have towards this project.

There is ofcourse FFindr.com which is pretty good, but I like the idea. My site is not a free resource (I sell a DVD), but what I like is this:

    Free:
    ffindr.com
    ultitalk.com
    thehuddle.org
    thebestten.wordpress.com šŸ™‚
    ultimaterob.com

    Webshops:
    playulty.com
    howtothrowlikeapro.com
    lookfly.com
    gaia.com
    fiveultimate.com

    Hope it helps!

Just stumbled upong this post, nice write up. I like the idea of “What I am attempting to do here is to collect the best Ultimate Frisbee resources from around the net into one place for easy reference. Think of it as the internet Ultimate Frisbee library.” … that is basically the motivation behind FFindr.

Providing a sort of “best of” is a great idea that will surely help to inform and motivate people regarding our sport. I’ll plug into your RSS, keep up the good posting.

Thanks Christian. I just found out about Ffindr.com today and that is also a great resource. I will definitely be using it myself and telling people about it. It’s a great idea and I see good potential for it. Keep up the good work yourself!

I got tired of hunting all over for simple generalized merchandise for Ultimate so I designed some myself. I looked all over the web for one place that had stuff like this and couldn’t. If you are annoyed by the fact that you can’t find a cool mug ot T-shirt too, then this will help.
